Sorry I am behind on my knitting update.
But Hello??? - with this beautiful scenery who wants to stay in and knit?
This is Siesta Key on the Gulf Coat of Florida. It's Beautiful!!!
The sand is so super fine here it is amazing - almost like sugar.
Don't you want to just run through the path and dive into the blue sea?
Well, I did finished the mittens for Will. Sorry no pictures. He was in a mood and I couldn't get him to try them on. I'm sure he needed them this past week in New England. I heard it was a bit chilly there and it even snowed!
I am still pluggin away on Lara - I am having a hard time being inspired to finish it.
I started a little cable knit sweater for my niece Davis. While visiting some local yarn shops in Florida I came across Wendy Peter Pan baby yarns. It's imported from England. Peter Pan DK fiber is 55% Nylon 45% Acrylic and has a cashmere like softness. I would normally not knit in acrylic or nylon - but it feels so nice and works up quite nicely. It is machine washable, which will thrill my sister! Babies are messy but cute!!
Here is the color Delphinium
- won't the color look so sweet on little Davis?
I promise to post a picture of the knitted progress soon.
